Day 2 of my no added sugar month

Day 2 and my head is definitely playing games. All I thought about this afternoon was chocolate and not good dark stuff but a Wispa. I never eat Wispas!!!!!

The invisible man started poking at my eyes mid afternoon and all I wanted to do was nap but after a workout, I felt better. I drank some green tea and ate a few blueberries before the gym. I have Crossfit at 6am so I’m hoping the symptoms aren’t too bad.

You’ll notice that my diet is grainless too. I hadn’t planned that one but it seems to be happening nonetheless.

I was feeling a wee bit grumpy in the afternoon šŸ™‚

Anyway, here’s what I’ve eaten today

Lemon water on waking

Breakfast – 3 eggs cooked in coconut oil with bacon and spinach
Snack – 2 raw carrots and a teaspoon of peanut butter
Lunch – some kippers and green salad
Snack – a whole mango and homemade dry roasted cashews
Dinner – homemade grass fed beef meatballs cooked with callalloo, basil, okra, green pepper and a little butternut squash cooked in chopped tomatoes

In between my afternoon snack and dinner, I had a cup of green tea and a handful of blueberries.

2 cups of black coffee, loads of water and a little water kefir to drink over the day

  1. Hi there,
First off – thank you for your blog. The recipes and advice on here are great and have been so useful to me! šŸ™‚
I also live in Cayman and was wondering if you could tell me where you get your grass-fed beef from?
    Many thanks!

    1. Hi Vicki. I’m glad you like the blog. I get my grass fed meat from Bay Market in Camana Bay. You’ll need to ask Geo (the manager) to order it in for you. I think Kirk’s also does organic meat but I’m not sure if it’s grass fed. I have however been told by a couple of the local supermarket butchers that the local meat is mostly grass fed. I understand there is a little grain in there to supplement the diet. I hope that helps!
