Days 24 and 25
I’ve been running a day behind for a few days so I’m going to catch up now. Things have just been busy (as always!).
I missed the gym on Friday. I wasn’t in a great place about the kitten but I’m pleased to say that she seems to be good. She’s all stitched up and on drugs for the pain. She’s a poor little thing. I made up for the lack of gym by doing another barre class on Saturday. I dread to think how many calories I burned but it must have been hundreds. I sweated buckets and suspect that my legs might hurt tomorrow. It’s amazing how changing things up can feel. I do Crossfit and weights 5 to 6 days a week, I ride and a do some running. I go along to a barre class (which is legs and core) and frankly, it killed me…..in a good way! You would think that with all the weights and the Crossfit, it wouldn’t have pained me but OMG, it did! Bring it on. I love a challenge!

Breakfast – oatmeal with nuts and blueberries
Snack – none
Lunch – paleo crab cake, shrimp, avocado and tomato from Bay Market
Snack – peanut butter and banana
Dinner – striploin with spinach salad and homemade fries covered in apple cider vinegar (my treat 🙂 )
I had a nibble of the Dane bar I posted a recipe for to test it. As Gordon Ramsay says, you need to taste test your food.
Drinks – 2 coffees, herbal tea and lots of water
Saturday’s food (PS I wasn’t organised today!!!)
Ran out of lemons so I had a mango and warm water when I woke up 🙂
Breakfast – oatmeal with nuts, seeds and berries
Snack – banana
Lunch – another banana
Snack – whoops …….. Another banana and peanut butter (I had to collect the kitten today and get her settled which took some time)
Evening – I went to the cinema with the family and I ate a little plain popcorn (that’s what I get for not eating properly today……I got hungry and ate some rubbish!)
Dinner – snapper, sautéed escarole, olives and some potatoes. (Dinner at Michael’s). I then sat and watched the kids eat gelato!!!!!! How painful was that 🙁
I felt a bit like Freely the Banana Girl today! I regularly eat about 2 bananas a day but given that my diet is so clean otherwise, I’m not fussed. I love bananas and I’m not about to deprive myself of something natural which I love.
Anyway, that’s me up to date. Got jerky on the agenda for tomorrow and maybe a gluten free seed bread. Been thinking about that with some butter for days ….. Yum!
