Lemon and raspberry protein doughnuts…. and my food!

So the doughnuts were a hit, so much so that when I went to glaze them, they were gone. I plan on making more tomorrow and a few chocolate ones too. Eva asked for some ordinary non protein doughnuts so tomorrow could be a busy day.

If you want to make your own lemon raspberry protein doughnuts, here’s what you’ll need.

3 scoops of protein powder (my powder has 20g of protein a scoop)
1/2 cup of ground almonds
1 teaspoon of baking powder
1 whole eggs and 4 egg whites (beaten)(or use 3 whole eats but changes the nutrition!)
1/2 cup of unsweetened apple sauce
Juice of half a lemon and zest of half a lemon
2 tbsp of coconut oil or butter
3/4 cup of raspberries (I used fresh but you could use frozen)

Mix above together other than raspberries. The mix will be runny. Fold in the raspberries at the end. Divide into a 6 ring doughnut pan and bake for 15 minutes or until golden at 350 degrees.

Glaze (tastes so delicious)

Mix together:

1 tbsp of melted coconut butter, the juice of the other half of the lemon and maple syrup to taste (I used a teaspoon of syrup). Glaze the doughnuts.

I can’t wait to try my glaze on a doughnut tomorrow.

Moving onto my body fat busting…..here’s my day’s food:

Lemon water on waking and 10 glasses of water over the day

Breakfast – a cup of plain cooked oatmeal, a teaspoon of cinnamon, 6 crushed walnuts and 1/2 cup of fresh blueberries

Snack – one medium banana with homemade chocolate hazelnut butter

Lunch – jerk chicken breast with spinach and tomatoes

Snack – lemon protein doughnut

Dinner – roast chicken over a green salad with 1/2 of an avocado.


Crossfit workout and 30 minutes of hill walking on the treadmill (needs must).

Supplements : magnesium and calcium and BCAAs.
